Daria Mileva’s story

Daria Mileva's journey to founding JEDI for Women is a testament to resilience and the relentless pursuit of justice. As a first-generation immigrant and single mother navigating the complexities of the U.S. legal system, Daria faced significant challenges, including language barriers and legal malpractice during her own divorce proceedings. Her experiences highlighted the systemic inequities and lack of support available to women in similar situations, particularly those who do not speak English as their first language.

Throughout her legal battles, Daria encountered numerous obstacles, from improper billing practices by her attorneys to a lack of transparency and fairness in the judicial process. Her determination to seek justice not only for herself but also for others who might be facing similar struggles fueled her resolve to create a supportive network for women. Daria's commitment to holding those accountable for their actions, regardless of their position or power, became a driving force in her life.

Inspired by her personal experiences and the desire to prevent others from enduring the same hardships, Daria established JEDI for Women. Her vision was to create a sanctuary for non-English speaking women, offering them access to legal resources, emotional support, and a community that embraces diversity and inclusion. Through her leadership and dedication, JEDI for Women stands as a beacon of hope, empowering women to reclaim their lives and fight for the justice they deserve.
